Cuomo uses public money for tax ads: The Cuomo administration is using money earmarked for tourism and business promotion to air television advertisements urging New Yorkers to pre-pay their property taxes.
The 30-second ad began running on Wednesday and will continue through New Year’s Eve, according to Jason Conwall, a spokesman for the Empire State Development corporation. It features an ominous voice describing the just-passed federal tax bill and its curtailment of the deductibility of state and local property taxes.
