McCluskey family: University of Utah failed to act before killing: The family of Lauren McCluskey is criticizing the University of Utah for the school's response in the weeks leading up to her death.
Lauren, who was killed by her ex-boyfriend after breaking up with him, reportedly reached out to campus police over 20 times about the man she was in a month-long relationship with.
“They tried to minimize her and have her go away, they were not caring, they were not helpful,” said Lauren's mother, Jill.
