Trump Administration Kills US Russia Arms Treaty - Sara A. Carter: The Trump administration announced Friday plans to kill a the historic deal that President Ronald Reagan and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev signed in 1987. At the time, the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces treaty signified that the era of a nuclear arms race had ended.
According to the Trump administration, the Kremlin violated the agreement however, the Russian government denounced the accusations.
