Police: Suspect pulled up outside of the station and started shooting: RUTLAND, Vt. – A Vermont man is dead after police say he drove up outside of a local department and opened fire, then led officers on a chase that ended in a shootout.

A report from CBS 3 in Burlington said that it all started at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning, when a man drove up to the Rutland City Police Department and fired a shots into the entrance. Police say the man fired several rounds, striking the building repeatedly, but amazingly no one was injured in the burst of fire.
