Reynolds signs 'Back the Blue' bill into law

Reynolds signs 'Back the Blue' bill into law: Gov. Kim Reynolds signed the so-called "Back the Blue" bill into law Thursday morning. Reynolds signed the bill Thursday morning at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in Johnston, surrounded by members of law enforcement. "We encourage first amendment rights to protest peacefully, but if you break the law, you're going to be held accountable," Reynolds said at the signing. The American Civil Liberties Union of Iowa has spoken out against the bill. Executive Director Mark Stringer says this law takes our state in the wrong direction.
