Veterans win: University of Rhode Island will not destroy WWII murals: KINGSTON, RI– A small victory has been won for this country, as a major university has chosen not to tear down a mural depicting the events of World War II in order to appease the liberal left. Reports surfaced last year that the University of Rhode Island (URI) had planned to tear down its historic murals after students complained that the monument lacked diversity.
