WSJM AM 1400 & FM 94.9 - Police Destroy Dynamite Found In Niles Apartment Building: "Andrew Green Reporting
On Monday, the Berrien County Sheriffs Department Bomb Squad, with the help of several area fire departments, conducted a controlled burn of some dynamite that was found in a Niles apartment building over the weekend. According to Niles Police Chief Richard Huff, the controlled burn was done inside the building, as the bomb squad had determined that it would be too dangerous to move the material outside...and everything went as planned. Huff says that the all of the dynamite was successfully destroyed, and officials have determined there is no further threat. The building did suffer minor damage, and the Niles Fire Department will inspect it tomorrow to determine when the evacuated residents can return."
