NLPC Files FEC Complaint Against Rep. Ilhan Omar and Her Lover Tim Mynett - Sara A. Carter: Today, NLPC filed a Complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) alleging that she and her campaign violated the prohibition on the personal use of campaign funds by reimbursing political consultant Tim Mynett for his travel in 2019.
The complaint also charges that Rep. Ilhan Omar failed to itemize travel reimbursements as required by the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 — and that the travel expenses increased during the same month that Omar’s alleged affair with married Washington, D.C. political consultant Tim Mynett, 38, heated up.
